Title: Relativistic Magnetic Accretion on Neutron Stars and Gravitational Wave Generation

The main objective of the project is to solve the magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) equations coupled with Einstein's field equations. This would give us the manner by which the accretion of material takes place and how this system could possibly generate gravitational waves. Nevertheless, the cited equations are non-linear and remarkably complicated for one to hope for an analyticity solution. Therefore, another important instance of this work is to find appropriate numerical methods that could yield reasonable approximate solutions for the structure of the neutron star and of the spacetime around it.
